Experience the natural beauty of the San Juan Islands with TerraTrek. Join us for five days as we bike across Lopez, Orcas and San Juan Island. These majestic islands will lead you through beautiful winding hills, rolling pastures dotted with sheep and along steep, breathtaking cliffs. Witness amazing wildlife such as bald eagles soaring over head or glimpse into the eyes of a deer that crosses your path. Sound too good to be true? It's not! The San Juan's are abundant with wildlife on land and at sea. Because there is so much to see, we also take a day to view marine mammals on a whale watch wildlife cruise or get close and personal with a guided sea kayak trip. The choice is yours. Here you may encounter an orca whale, minke whale, seal or sea lion. At the end of the day become mesmerized by some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world and relive the eternal memories from this TerraTrek vacation.

Day One
Our friendly guides will greet you on scenic Lopez island. We begin our bicycling journey along unpopulated winding roads that hug the shoreline. Ride through rolling pastures, past century old farmhouses and rest at a beautiful pebbled beach with a picturesque view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. After a wonderful dinner in the Lopez Village, we retreat to the Inn at Swifts Bay where you can relax and prepare for more adventures tomorrow.

Day Two
Wake up to the sound of sea birds on the beach just steps away. Or better yet, grab a cup of coffee, go for a walk along the beach and search for treasures in the sand brought in by the morning tide. Our host will greet you upon your return with a gourmet breakfast made with fresh local fruits from the islands orchards. After everyone has said their good byes to our wonderful hosts, we warm up with a ride to the ferry that will take us to Orcas Island. Once on Orcas, we eat lunch prepared by your wonderful guides and then set off on scenic, less traveled side roads to Eastsound, a small village on the island. Here you can shop, send a postcard home or visit with friendly locals. Once everyone has had a chance to taste island living, we journey on to Moran State Park where there are over 30 miles of hiking trails for the adventurers at heart. With gorgeous lakes and inviting waterfalls to cool off in, you should bring a swimming suit for this experience. You will have the opportunity to ride (or catch a lift) to the top of 2,409 foot high Mount Constitution, where you will be awestruck by the panoramic view of the San Juan Islands, the Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges, Mount Rainier, Mount Baker and neighboring Canada. Afterwards we will coast down a three mile descent into Rosario Resort where we will stay tonight. You will find this resort relaxing and full of things to do. Tonight we will dine on fresh, local seafood in the Orcas Room overlooking Cascade Bay. After dinner go for a night cap in the Moran Lounge or take a romantic, moonlit stroll along the bay to end your evening.

Day Three
This morning we will ride to the ferry that takes us to Friday Harbor. This is home to many of our staff so don't be surprised if your guides say hello to fellow islanders in passing. Because many of us are residents to this island paradise, we love to surprise you with special hospitality when visiting San Juan Island. Today we cycle along San Juan Island's west side where you can enjoy expansive views of the Olympic Peninsula and Victoria B.C. If you're lucky, you might spot a whale during lunch at Whale Watch Park! Afterwards, we head to Roche Harbor. This historical resort and marina has its own laid back pace. Here you can browse the shops or stroll through the English Gardens. Tonight we will have dinner at Friday Harbor's newest and best Italian restaurant, Vinny's. Following dinner, you can retreat to the Friday Harbor House, where we will be staying for the next two nights. This inn is Friday Harbor's best with breathtaking views from a bluff overlooking the harbor. Centrally located in town, you are welcome to explore the night life or relax in your personal whirl bath jetted tub.

Day Four
Enjoy breakfast at the inns highly acclaimed restaurant and then prepare to see wildlife! You may choose to take a whale watch/wild life cruise or get close and personal with a guided sea kayaking trip. On both tours you have the opportunity to see orca whales, bald eagles, porpoise, seals, minke whales, seabirds and other marine life. The choice is yours! After your tour, you can enjoy dinner at the Friday Harbor House Restaurant and then spend the rest of the evening visiting local pubs or looking out over the marina from your deck.

Day Five
Wake up with the sunrise right outside your window and prepare for a gorgeous ride to San Juan Island's historic American Camp (locally referred to as "South Beach"). Here you can hike along the sandy cliffs or stroll along the beaches and coves. We'll enjoy a delicious picnic style lunch and then head back along side roads to Friday Harbor to say our good byes until your next TerraTrek vacation!
